A New World for a Doctor's Daughter
The scientific study of dreams is called Oneirology. Studies have shown dreams occur in the rapid-eye movement (REM) stage of sleep. During REM, brain activity is high and resembles that of the awake state. However, science has not been able to explain the phenomenon of dreams when a person isn't asleep, although this phenomenon appears to have compelled humans to embark on countless perilous journeys of thousands of miles.
Because heat dilates the veins, many vein issues worsen during the summertime. With higher temperatures, veins expand leading to more pooling of blood in the legs and problems associated with it such as pain, tiredness, cramps, swelling and clots. There is also an increased chance of seeing new spider veins.
While watching the July 4th fireworks, I felt a strange sense of joy and exhilaration… like a kid!
I am a huge fan of history. I couldn't help but wonder if the founders of the Nation ever thought that someday this would be a great nation, an epitome of opportunity.
