What to Expect at Your Consultation

At your consultation, your vein specialist will review your medical history and any outside records, perform a focused physical exam, and conduct a targeted venous duplex ultrasound. Based on the findings, you will receive personalized recommendations, and a summary is usually sent to your referring provider.

Costs

• A consultation involves specialized diagnostic and medical expertise and is therefore considered a billable service, typically covered by most insurance plans. You will be responsible for any applicable out-of-pocket expenses, such as copays or deductibles, as determined by your insurer. Our team will make every effort to verify your insurance benefits and share cost information with you in advance.
• If your are not using insurance, or if we are not contracted with your insurance provider, the consultation fee is $100, payable at the visit (subject to change).
• Cosmetic concerns (spider veins or asymptomatic varicose veins) are not covered by insurance. In such cases, we offer a limited consultation at no charge to review your condition and discuss treatment options.

Preparation Tips

On the day of your consultation, please drink plenty of water, avoid caffeine, and, if possible, do not wear compression stockings

Scheduling & Response Times

We respond to most inquiries the same or next business day. If you don’t hear back promptly (due to spam filters), please call 816-396-0245. We strive to offer the earliest available appointment, often within a day, but slots fill quickly. If you need to cancel or reschedule, kindly give at least 24 hours’ notice to avoid a cancellation fee. Please review our Cancellation Policy for details.
